St James鈥檚 Hospital has excellent public transport connectivity and car access, and it is continuously improving pedestrian and cycle access. The location of the hospital to the west of the city centre provides easy access to the national and regional road network (M50, N4, Red Cow interchange, M7, M8, M9, an so on) and Dublin city centre.
The hospital has direct access to all the major transport hubs in the city; Heuston Station, Connolly Station and Bus谩ras. The hospital鈥檚 proximity to the city centre enables access to a host of local, regional and national transport services. The Red LUAS line and the 123 bus route serve the hospital directly.

Travelling by car
Parking is limited and we experience a high demand for parking at certain times during the busy weekday periods and delays may be experienced in accessing our car parks during these times.
Our car park is particularly busy from 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday.
At busy times, our security staff are on the ground directing traffic and visitors are asked to follow their directions. Find out more about parking on site
