Dr Devitt graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 and completed her specialist training in infectious diseases and general internal medicine in Ireland in 2009. From 2009 to 2018 Dr Devitt worked at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London which is the largest HIV and sexual health centre in Europe.

Dr Devitt has published on HIV, viral hepatitis and sexual health topics and has authored UK national clinical guidelines. She is an examiner for the Diploma in HIV Medicine.

Dr Devitt has a special interest in antiretroviral management and the medical complications of HIV, HIV related malignancy, sexual health, HIV prevention in high-risk groups and viral hepatitis.
