Telehealth - COVID-19 has changed how we manage our service. We have now set up both telephone and video consultations to ensure that we continue to give our patients the best service possible.

  • To shine a light on the journey experienced by young people when they transfer their care from a paediatric (children鈥檚) hospital to an adult hospital, the National Coagulation Centre (NCC) at St James鈥檚 Hospital and Children鈥檚 Health Ireland (CHI) created the below short video.

In this video, David recalls his transition of care from CHI Crumlin to the NCC and explains how he overcame his anxieties from meeting with his consultant alone to finding a mode of transport to get to his appointment. David was encouraged to build and grow in all aspects of his life, both in and out of hospital. The NCC encourages young adults to develop their skills for self-management, empowering them to set their own personal goals and, importantly, achieve them.
