World Cancer Day February 4th

1 February, 2024

鈥楥losing the Care Gap鈥 this World Cancer Day

This World Cancer Day, we recognise the power of working together.  We know that every single one of us has the ability to make a difference, large or small, and that together we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer.

This 4 February, we call on you, whoever and wherever you are, to play your part in creating a cancer-free world.鈥

This year, the Trinity St James鈥檚 Cancer Institute has come together with its partners St James鈥檚 188体育, Trinity College Dublin and the Irish Cancer Society, to pledge their support of #ClosingtheCareGap.

Those involved in caring for people with cancer, including volunteers, administrative staff, household staff, scientists, nurses, health and social care professionals and medical professionals, have come forward to reveal their pledge of how they will close the care gap for patients in 2024.

Please see some of the pledges below.
